Players Code of Conduct

 

We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game. As a player, you have a big part to play. Fair play and respect for all others in the game is essential. We are asking every player to follow a Code of Conduct to Honour Our Game. When playing football, I will :-

 

1)                         Show a high standard of behaviour while representing my club and refrain from displaying       dissent or bad language.

 

2)                         Treat all players and officials as I would like to be treated - fairly

 

3)                         Play by the rules and always respect the referee.

 

4)                        Lead by example both on and off the pitch.

 

5)                        Listen and respond to what my coach tells me.

 

6)                        Shake hands with the other team at the end of the game

 

7)                        Accept success and failure, victory and defeat, equally.

 

8)                        Advise my coach when I will not be available.

 

9)                        All earrings must be removed or taped before training/matches.

 

10)                     Respect the club’s property, including but not limited to kit, training facilities, dressing            rooms.

 

11)                     Talk to someone I trust if I'm unhappy about anything at my club.

 

12)                     Play for my own enjoyment and to improve my skills.

 

13)                     Not use ugly remarks based on religion, gender, race or ability .

 

 

I understand that if I do  not follow the Code of Conduct, the club, DDYFA League or Scottish Youth Football Association, may take actions against me.

 

 

 

 

 

Parents/Guardians and Spectators Code of Conduct

 

We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game. Parents have a great influence on childrens’ enjoyment and success in football. Children play football because they first and foremost love the game. It's FUN. Remember children's football is a time for them to develop and learn. We want them to win but not at all costs. Play your part by supporting your child and observe the Code of Conduct at all t imes. I will:-

 

1)                     Remember that children play for FUN.

 

2)                     Always respect the match officials' decisions.

 

3)                     Remain outside the field of play or within Designated Spectators' Areas.

 

4)                     Let the coach do his job and not confuse the players by telling them what to do.

 

5)                     Never engage in, or tolerate offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour.

 

6)                     Avoid criticizing a player for making a mistake - mistakes are part of learning.

 

7)                     Accept the decisions and instructions of the coach and other team officials - remember they are           volunteers who give up their time and resources to provide football for your children.

 

8)                     Never use ugly remarks based on race, religion, gender or ability.

 

9)                    Support the coach's decisions and discuss any concerns directly with the coach.
